Dhimmitude in Margaritaville; Anti-Sharia bill dies in Florida

Shouldn’t these state legislatures begin to ask why groups like CAIR are so adamant about stopping anti-Sharia legislation while saying they have no interest in implementing the Islamic legal system?

The Florida House overwhelming passed the anti-Sharia legislation but it died in the Senate.

Via the Miami Herald:

A bill that squared Muslims and Jews against several members of the Legislature is dead for this session.

SB 1360, which critics say targets Muslims, would have voided marriage, divorce and custody disputes grounded in foreign law.

The measure did not come up for a vote in the Senate, although the House bill passed by a 92-24 margin.Sen. Alan Hays, R-Umatilla, the bill’s sponsor, advanced the controversy by distributing booklets to other senators titled “Shari’ah Law: Radical Islam’s threat to the U.S. Constitution.”

Until issues such as this move from the realm of politics to debates about honor, these cowardly politicians will continue to demonstrate their inability to handle the job.
